Oppo A55s has officially announced its new phone called 5G. It’s not fully understood what the “s” in the phone’s name is for. Because this new smartphone has almost the same features as the Oppo A55 5G. It is also worth noting that the new device is different from the A55s 5G sold in Japan.
At the heart of the A55s 5G is the MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. This processor is accompanied by 6 or 8 GB of RAM. The only option for internal storage is 128 GB. For those who want more storage, the phone has microSD card support. With ColorOS 11.1, 2 GB is added on top of the RAM capacity. Interestingly, the A55s 5G comes out of the box with Android 11 installed.
The smartphone has a 6.5-inch HD+ resolution LCD screen. The aspect ratio of this screen is 20:9. Oppo, which didn’t provide information about the maximum brightness level of the screen, didn’t mention additional glass protection for the screen.
In the hole above the screen, the phone has an 8-megapixel front camera. On the back, the 13-megapixel main camera is accompanied by a 2-megapixel macro camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor.
A 5000 mAh battery gives the smartphone the power it needs. However, this battery does not support fast charging. The A55s 5G comes out of the box with a USB-C cable, charging adapter and protective case.
The pre-order period for the Oppo A55s 5G has begun. The smartphone will take its place on shelves starting April 25 in Oppo’s home country of China. You need to pay 1100 yuan for the 6GB version of the phone and 1200 yuan for the 8GB version.
