Huawei, which is holding a major event in China today, announced a hybrid tablet as well as a smart watch and a motorcycle helmet. The Huawei MateBook E became the company’s second product in this class after a long hiatus.
What does the Huawei MateBook E offer?
The Huawei MateBook E hybrid tablet model is aimed at the class of convertible systems dominated by products such as the Microsoft Surface and iPad Pro. The Huawei MateBook E continues the design of the previous generation, but the hardware is up to date.
The device, which has a 12.6-inch OLED display, offers a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. Covering the full DCI-P3 colour gamut, the display reaches 600 nits of brightness. Thanks to the thin bezels, the screen-to-body ratio is 90%. The display is compatible with the Huawei M2 stylus.
On the processor side, there are options up to the eleventh-generation Core i7 model. Integrated Intel Iris and Intel Xe Max graphics come on top of the processor of choice. Up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage are available. The 8-layer heat spreader ensures efficient cooling. Core i7 options include a backlit keyboard with USB Type-C input.
On the back are LED flash camera, selfie camera, Huawei Sound with 4 speakers, up to 8 hours of use, 65W fast charging, WiFi 6, Windows 11, Thunderbolt 4 connection .
