Ubisoft announced Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile, a new game in the franchise that promises to bring all the excitement of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege to mobile devices, in addition to raising the standard for platform shooters.

The title is being developed by a new Ubisoft Montreal division that has Justin Swan as creative director, who has a history with mobile games such as Trials Frontier, which has amassed more than 30 million downloads on the App Store and Google Play.

Rainbow Six Mobile will focus on competitive multiplayer, with highly tactical gameplay that will require players to have refined strategies to win confrontations, leaving aside the classic “run and gun”. According to the developer, the controls have been improved to generate an enjoyable experience for players on mobile platforms.

Fans of the game will feel “right at home” as various game content from consoles and PC will be present. It will be possible to control popular agents, such as Hibana, and play on maps loved by players, such as Frontier and Bank. Rainbow Six Mobile developers are working with the people behind Seige to create the most authentic experience possible.

Because the focus is on authenticity, each agent will have their own unique arsenal, abilities and, of course, equipment. This will make it possible to replicate strategies already known or even create new ones that have yet to be tested by players. There will be no shortage of weapons, explosions, destruction and traps for those who decide to venture into this new game.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Mobile does not yet have a set release date, but Ubisoft has announced that pre-registration will be available soon.
