Recover saved passwords from Chrome

Before you begin, make sure you have Chrome installed on at least one other device you’re using, like a tablet or smartphone. In addition, it is important that the device was not used immediately after the collapse (removal of the password). Then you can recover deleted passwords by-

1. Activate the synchronization option
2. Sync Reset
3. Enable synchronization.

I assume that we all have at least one Google Account which we use to take advantage of the services and products offered by Google. So, if you use the same Google account to sign in to different devices, you’re good to go and you can recover your deleted passwords.

1]Enable synchronization option

Go to the other device where Chrome is installed and click ‘Menu‘ (visible as 3 dots) and choose ‘Settings‘.

Then go to the ‘People’ section and see if the ‘Synchronization‘ is activated. It should display a message saying Synchronization with …..with a green circle next to it.

2]Reset Sync

When seen, choose ‘Synchronization and Google services‘ and under his ‘To sychronize‘ section, locate ‘Data from Chrome Sync‘ option.

Tap the option to be taken to a new tab.

Scroll down to find ‘Reset sync‘ button. Push the button. When done, it will wipe your data from the server and remove your passphrase. However, this will not erase data from your devices.

So, to recover deleted passwords, just switch to the device where you accidentally deleted the passwords and log back into Chrome.

3]Enable synchronization

Now just go to the “Settings” screen and tap on “ Activate synchronization‘, next to your profile picture.

After a few seconds, look at the password management screen. You should find all deleted passwords after the synchronization process is complete.
